Punta Cana covers a broad holiday region. The tourism board highlights Bávaro, Macao, Cabeza de Toro and Cap Cana among its beach areas. Use your full hotel name rather than ‘Punta Cana resort’ when asking for a Saona tour.
Tell us if you are in Uvero Alto, a private apartment or a gated property, too. Ask whether the driver meets you in the lobby, at the security gate or at a designated collection area. Do not leave reception instructions until the morning of departure.
Separate resort collection from road travel
The published one-hour orientation to Bayahíbe is useful for understanding the journey, but it does not include every resort’s location, a shared collection circuit or time spent preparing to board. Ask for your own hotel pickup and expected return rather than calculating them from that figure.
Confirm whether one vehicle takes you all the way or whether you change vehicles at a meeting point. Families should discuss child seating and luggage space for the road journey as well as suitable lifejackets for the boat. The two legs need separate practical checks.
