The official page explicitly connects Occidental Caribe with its former Barceló Punta Cana name. Include both if an older document uses the earlier wording. The hotel’s Carretera Macao address does not move it from Arena Gorda to Macao Beach. Do not follow instructions for Occidental Punta Cana or Bávaro Palace just because the names appear in the same hotel group.

Plan for the youngest traveler

Occidental Caribe welcomes families and has children’s facilities. For an independent island day, send actual ages and discuss road seats, lifejacket fit, shade and boarding with the excursion team. Ask how many transitions the proposed itinerary involves and whether equipment can be carried. A hotel playground or kids’ activity does not supply supervision during the transfer or boat trip.

Keep the Arena Gorda return clear

Agree where the return ends and keep the excursion contact accessible. Discuss any fixed evening commitment before booking rather than calculating a return from another hotel’s review. The quote should identify the actual Arena Gorda connection and every inclusion. Bring sun protection, swimming items and a dry bag; leave an essential flight for another day.
