Saona Island from Higüey

Check whether Higüey describes the city or a broad address

The Ministry of Tourism places the Basílica de Nuestra Señora de la Altagracia in Higüey. That helps identify the city, but it does not make the basilica a tour meeting point. This guide is for a real stay in the city or an address identified directly with LoveSaona.

Some accommodation descriptions use Higüey as a wider location label. If you are actually staying at a Punta Cana, Bávaro or other resort property, provide that hotel’s complete name and map pin instead of selecting a city transfer on the strength of the address wording. The actual start determines the road arrangements.

Request feasibility for a city hotel or family home

Tell LoveSaona whether the stay is a hotel, apartment or private home and provide street, number, neighborhood and a reachable contact. Ask whether transport can be arranged on your chosen date, which vehicle format is offered and how the full price is calculated. Do not assume the quote or collection pattern of a coastal resort applies.

If friends or relatives join from several addresses, list all actual participants and locations. Agree any proposed collection place explicitly before paying. A recognizable city landmark is useful orientation, but cannot replace the booking’s confirmed instructions.

• Actual property or home address, neighborhood and map pin
• Date, adult participants and children’s ages
• Transport feasibility, vehicle format and full party price
• Agreed outward journey, Bayahíbe boarding and return address

Choose the island experience after the road plan is workable

Once the connection is confirmed, compare Classic, Premium and a private charter by boat format, named island stops and inclusions. Both shared products board in Bayahíbe. A private road journey does not make the island vessel private, and a smaller Premium shared group is still shared.

Private groups can separately request a premium-priced departure from Marina Casa de Campo. Ask for the full arrangement, including the journey from the actual Higüey address. Neither option establishes a boat departure from the city.

Plan city activities and the return independently

A basilica visit, family gathering or other city activity needs its own schedule. Do not assume the Saona excursion includes a sightseeing stop in Higüey. If you want to combine plans, ask whether a separate arrangement is practical and obtain the complete route and price before booking.

Confirm the return address and access to the accommodation. Keep keys and a contact available, and discuss luggage storage with the host if moving elsewhere. Give any fixed onward travel constraints in advance; the boat and road journey should not be treated as a guaranteed flight connection.
