YOUR JOURNEY AT A GLANCE
Bahia Principe Explore Turquesa → Bayahíbe → Saona → agreed hotel return
Confirm the full road-and-boat plan and hotel return before arranging other activities.
Plan my trip from Bahia Principe Explore TurquesaMatch Grand Turquesa to today's Explore name
Hyatt explicitly identifies Explore Turquesa as the former Bahia Principe Grand Turquesa, a family resort in the Arena Gorda area of Punta Cana. Keep both names in your enquiry if the older wording appears on your documents. TRS Turquesa is a different property in the Palladium complex. Friends at other Bahia hotels should give their own reservation names rather than using Turquesa as a label for the whole complex.
- Current Turquesa reservation and any Grand wording
- Adults, each child's age and the actual participants
- Boarding, shade, food and suitable lifejacket questions
- Confirmed road connection, boat format and hotel return
Plan family support away from Bahia Scouts
The hotel's Bahia Scouts activities, children's pool and water park can make a resort day easy for different ages. A Saona outing adds travel by road, boarding transitions and time outside the room. Decide which adults will supervise each child throughout the outing and discuss rest, snacks, sun protection and changing clothes. Ask about the equipment offered for your party before selecting a boat.
Choose the island experience your family wants
Classic combines the larger shared catamaran format with a beach-focused day; Premium uses a smaller shared speedboat group and more itinerary stops. Compare the actual proposed stops, shade, seating and boarding arrangements, especially for someone uneasy on a moving boat. A smaller shared group is still shared. An exclusive family boat and a private road vehicle should each be requested explicitly if important.
Keep La Isla and the Saona journey distinct
La Isla is the resort's own pool-and-entertainment area, not an agreement for travel to Saona Island. Give the excursion a day without competing water-park, spa or onward-travel commitments. Once a proposal is available, check hotel transport, meals, drinks, boat itinerary and the complete total together. Confirm how your party returns to the correct Bahia property rather than adopting another guest's collection instructions.
Questions about this departure
Is Explore Turquesa the former Grand Turquesa?
Yes. Hyatt's current property page connects those names. Include the wording on your reservation so the correct accommodation is used when checking transport.
Is this the same hotel as TRS Turquesa?
No. Name Bahia Principe Explore Turquesa in full. A similar name does not make the Bahia and Palladium properties interchangeable for a transport request.
Does the hotel's La Isla area include the Saona outing?
La Isla describes a hotel leisure area. The independent road-and-boat excursion has its own inclusions, participant requirements and confirmed arrangements.
