Saona from JOIA Bávaro by Iberostar

Connect the Grand and JOIA names without creating two hotels

Iberostar's official page explicitly identifies JOIA Bávaro as the former Iberostar Grand Bávaro. If an older reservation or family conversation uses Grand, share that reference alongside the current JOIA name. This is a useful identity clarification, not a reason to create separate collection requests for the same property. Selection Bávaro Suites and the Waves hotels remain different names. For friends staying elsewhere in the complex, list each exact hotel and its travelers instead of assuming common guest-access privileges establish one meeting point.

Check which journey a hotel transfer offer actually covers

The official hotel page advertises an airport-specific private-transfer benefit with booking conditions. Check those terms for the airport service and ask LoveSaona separately about the actual road connection to Bayahíbe and back. A complimentary airport ride is not evidence of an included island-tour vehicle. Say whether you want private road transport, a shared connection or an exclusive boat, because those are separate decisions. Request a complete excursion total that states which journeys and services it covers.

• Current JOIA hotel name and Grand reference if used on your documents
• Date, party size and preferred island atmosphere
• Separate road-vehicle and boat-exclusivity choices
• Confirmed inclusions, responsible contact and hotel return

Choose the atmosphere and degree of privacy you want

JOIA's adults-only stay does not determine the passenger policy of an independent shared tour. Classic offers the larger shared catamaran format with a beach-focused outing. Premium uses a smaller shared speedboat group and a wider confirmed itinerary; it remains shared. Explain whether you want a social journey, a quieter beach day or a vessel only for your partner and friends. For a charter, discuss the actual route, boarding, shade, meals and any occasion requests before accepting the offer.

Coordinate concierge requests with the independent excursion

Butler and concierge services can help organize your hotel stay, but an independent boat, road vehicle and celebration extras still need confirmation with the responsible excursion provider. Keep the agreed contact and collection instructions separate from hotel activity arrangements. Fit breakfast around the confirmed schedule and leave space before spa or dinner plans. Pack swimming items, sun protection and a dry bag. This LoveSaona resource is independent of Iberostar and does not claim that a room category or butler package includes the island trip.
