Saona Island from Zona Colonial

Use the actual Colonial City address

The Ministry of Tourism describes Santo Domingo’s Colonial City as a district with boutique hotels, historic streets and visitor attractions. This guide is for guests staying there. Send the booked hotel name or apartment building, street, number and a map pin. If a booking platform and the host give different address details, clarify them before requesting transport.

Hodelpa Nicolás de Ovando, Kimpton Las Mercedes and Hodelpa Caribe Colonial have their own accommodation guides. Other travelers should identify their own stay rather than adopting one of those hotels as a public collection point.

Resolve vehicle access before excursion morning

Ask the accommodation whether a vehicle can reach its entrance on the excursion date. If the proposed collection is elsewhere, obtain the exact confirmed location, how to reach it and a reachable contact. Do not assume that a pedestrian route through the historic district is a suitable vehicle approach.

For groups staying at different boutique hotels or apartments, supply all addresses together. Agree whether collection and return use the same locations and who will contact the driver if plans change.

• Exact hotel or apartment address and map pin
• Accommodation advice on vehicle approach and any access constraints
• Date, travelers, children’s ages and contact number
• Confirmed collection, Bayahíbe boarding and return arrangements

Reserve a full excursion day for the road and island

Compare the whole journey from Santo Domingo, not only the boat portion. Ask which transport is offered for your address, whether it is shared or private, and what the complete price includes. A direct road transfer can still connect to a shared Classic or Premium boat in Bayahíbe.

Treat a Colonial City walking tour, museum visit or prepaid evening event as a separate schedule. Ask for the expected return before committing to another booking. A private charter also needs realistic road planning; it does not eliminate the outward and return journeys.

Keep city check-in, luggage and onward travel separate

If changing accommodation, agree luggage storage and key arrangements with the host. Tell LoveSaona if the return address differs from the collection address before accepting the quote. Do not assume bags can be stored in the excursion vehicle or carried on the boat.

A Saona trip should not be treated as a guaranteed connection to a flight or fixed onward departure. Send those constraints before booking and use another day if the full excursion cannot fit. Ask for cancellation terms and keep the accommodation and excursion contacts available.
