Boca Chica is your starting area, not the boat port

The tourism ministry describes Boca Chica as a beach destination close to Santo Domingo. That proximity does not make a Boca Chica reservation a city-center address. Give the name on your hotel booking, or the street and a map pin for an apartment. Mention that you are staying in Boca Chica when requesting transport rather than accepting instructions intended for the Colonial Zone or Malecón.

A beachfront room and local boat rides do not identify a shared Saona departure. Your island day starts with the agreed road arrangement to Bayahíbe. Ask who coordinates the driver and boat connection so a change on land reaches the excursion team.

Compare the complete outing from your accommodation

Ask whether the proposal includes a direct vehicle, a shared collection service or an independently arranged journey. Coverage depends on the address and date; a tour price alone does not settle it. For friends in separate accommodations, request one workable plan and confirm whether everyone can access the proposed collection location. The return address belongs in the same confirmation.

Classic and Premium are shared boat options with different group formats and itineraries. Read the named stops and inclusions before choosing; a hotel room sold as Premium is unrelated to Saona Premium. A private road vehicle can still connect to a shared boat. If exclusivity matters, request an exclusive vessel explicitly and obtain its separate price.

Give Saona a day of its own

Keep a fixed flight, hotel move or prepaid evening event separate from the island outing. An airport near your accommodation does not make an arrival-day or departure-day excursion reliable.
